Discipleship Strategies

At New Covenant Church of God, we value discipleship! What exactly does discipleship mean to us?

In John 8:31, Jesus says that if you hold to His teaching, you are a disciple.  So discipleship is all about making Jesus the subject of everything we do and everything we are.  Here is what discipleship looks like at New Covenant.

Sunday Evenings @6pm

F  - Face to Face.  On the 1st Sunday evening of every month, the whole church comes together for a meal, fun, and a brief time of teaching.  The focus of this night is connecting with one another.  This night begins at 5:00pm with a light meal.

U—Understanding.  On the 2nd Sunday evening,  we have an expanded time of understanding the truth of God’s Word.  Sometimes it will be a theological issue that we study and other times it will be about understanding yourself better.  But all the time, the study will be centered on God’s Word.

E—Eagerly Serving Our Community.  The 3rd Sunday evening, we gather to serve the community.  We have several ways that New Covenant engages our community.

L—Loving God.  The 4th Sunday evening is our Concert of Prayer.  The church comes together for a time of worship and prayer.  This evening is all about connecting with God and caring for one another.

Our discipleship strategy is multi-generational - which means, families are welcome and we have fun!

IMPACT DAY - Part of the ongoing development of discipleship at New Covenant are IMPACT DAYS that are intenstive learning communities that gather to be equipped on their spiritual journey.  Some topics like: prayer, marriage, joyful living, finances, raising children are among the most popular IMPACT DAYS.  Check out the church calendar for upcoming events like IMPACT DAYS and more.
